Barbarano

The property overlooks the medieval town of Barbarano, on the Berici Hills, with a breath-taking view to the sweet sunny countryside all around. The best way to discover this peaceful environment is trying out one of the many hiking and bike trails through the valleys and the woody hills: a free bike rental service is available for our guests.

Bike trails

An easy and pleasant bike route is “Pista ciclabile della Riviera Berica”, 31 km long, linking Vicenza to Noventa Vicentina and bordering the Berici Hills. You can easily reach it from here (3 km). Vicenza and Palladian architecture

This is an area of well preserved natural beauty and vibrant rural culture, and it is known as the centre of Palladian architecture. Villa La Rotonda in Vicenza, for example, is one of the best known works of art designed by Palladio: further information is available here.

Venetian Villas with Historical Gardens

You can also visit the charming villas (with historical gardens) along the Brenta Riviera, from Padua to Venice; an easy way to visit them is taking the Burchiello, a pleasant cruise along the river Brenta: for details and reservations, visit the website.

Renaissance cities

The region is filled with stunning Renaissance cities: Vicenza, Verona (with its Teatro Romano, its Roman Arena and the famous Opera Festival, Padua (with the old University and Cappella Scrovegni with Giotto’s frescoes), Castelfranco Veneto, Treviso. Not far from here, the medieval walled towns of Montagnana and Soave are historical jewels, well worth visiting. Don’t forget to plan a day trip to the unique city of Venice, which is, of course, a must-see: you can reach it by train in only one hour from Vicenza.
